THIRD POWER’S DEFIANT ROCK & ROLL GENERATES HIGH VOLTAGE EXCITEMENT
Long Island, NY — Prodigious chops, heartfelt originality and studious reverence for the classics have led to a groundswell of support and positive reviews for the hard rock, high energy of Third Power.
The band released their self-titled debut CD in 2004, which captures Third Power at its best. Instead of trotting out everyone else’s “same-old, same-old” sound, the band relies on the forgotten art of raw vocals, searing hooks, and indelible melodies to drive their point home, and when they’re driving there’s no stopping. The band is currently in the studio, and will release their second CD in 2010.

Admittedly, the band is a product of many styles & influences—each of the members is a veteran of the Long Island/NYC music scene—but their solid, blues-based riffs with a modern edge, enable their virtuosic chops and well-crafted arrangements to shine. The result is an undeniably powerful and uniquely emotional sound that leaves the band’s fan base foaming at its collective mouth after each show.
