EVENT PROCESS
A&R Unlimited would like to offer you the opportunity to perform in our Indie Revolution New Music Showcase. Each band that shows off their musicianship, and promotes and markets this show accordingly at the initial show, will be selected to perform at one of our Indie Revolution New Music “Executive” Showcase at a major live music venue. A&R Unlimited limos in A&R Executives from Record Labels along with Music Publishers and TV and Movie Music supervisors. We bring these executives down to scout each band for a potential deal and to help musicians further their careers in the music industry.

A&R Unlimited supplies your band with tickets to pre-sell at no expense. We provide musicians the opportunity to pre-sell these tickets as a tool to promote the show. These tickets also offer fans lower rates if they purchase these tickets in advance.

At the beginning of the initial show, each band member will need to check in with an A&R Unlimited consultant. After the show, A&R Unlimited will tally up all pre-sold tickets, along with any fans that walk in the venue door to determine band attendance and compensation. On the following Monday, A&R Unlimited will pay bands via company check. ***A&R Unlimited does not make money from these shows. Any money that is made, is used towards the booking of venues, staff, sound, all expenses associated with shows, and the booking of the larger show.

THE MAJOR EVENT (THE INDIE REVOLUTION NEW MUSIC “EXECUTIVE” SHOWCASE)
When a band qualifies to perform at The Indie Revolution New Music “Executive” Showcase event, they will have the opportunity to perform in front of independent and major label A&R Executives (talent scouts), TV and Movie Music Supervisors and Music Publishers.

Bands will be asked to pre-sell at least 100 tickets for The Indie Revolution New Music “Executive” Showcase events and more importantly BRING THE PEOPLE DOWN!  This is a MAJOR SHOW with MAJOR MUSIC EXECUTIVES. Each band needs to show their marketability more then ever in front of these executives, because first impressions matter. When a band exceeds 100 tickets for this show, as an additional incentive, they will receive 1 song recorded, mixed and mastered.  The Indie Revolution New Music “Executive” Showcases are unpaid events, due to the expenses incurred by A&R Unlimited. This large event is designed to expose your band’s talent to the executives who can help further your career. A&R Unlimited will also be required to sell equal amount of tickets through their own promotional efforts.

A&R UNLIMITED OFFERS THE FOLLOWING FORMS OF PROMOTION FOR ALL EVENTS
-An opportunity to perform in front of major and independent record label talent scouts, Music Publishers and TV and Movie Music Supervisors.  Past promotions have included such record labels as: Atlantic, Capitol, Columbia, Def Jam, EMI, Epic, Geffen, Hollywood, Island, Jive, Koch, Mercury, Motown, RCA, Roadrunner, SONY, Tommy Boy, TVT, Universal, Bug Music plus many others.

-Bands will have their music played on The Indie Revolution Radio Show which is produced weekly and airs every Sunday evenings at 10pm on WMIR 100.9 FM. This radio show is promoted heavily to thousands of A&R executives, Publishers and TV and Music Supervisors across the country.

-Your bands music will be played on The Indie Revolution’s podcast at www.indierevolution.fm

-Each show will be promoted via commercial spots on WMIR 100.9 FM until the evening of the event.

-Show and band information will be included in advertising that each venue books.

-Show and band information will be included in any advertising and press releases that A&R Unlimited books.

-Each band will be included in all MySpace promotions, including event listings and bulletins.

- Bands pay is determined on a per show basis. We offer this as a show of good faith for the bands that work hard to promote these shows. These shows are not about the money. These shows are created to help take your career to the next level.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM EACH BAND
Promote your band and the entire show. Promote special aspects of the show (ie: charity event, drink specials, giveaways, etc.) Explain how important this show is and how this could help further your career if you move on to the larger show. Ask for help if you need advice on promoting the event. We are here to help. We want all of these shows to be successful, and along with the promotional support given by A&R Unlimited, we expect the same level of promotion from each band in order for these events to be successful.

Ticket prices for The Indie Revolution New Music “Executive” Showcases are to be determined. This is not a competition. This is an opportunity for each band to increase their exposure, visibility and further their careers. Bands that perform will receive giveaways courtesy of various music manufacturers and sponsors.

The Indie Revolution New Music “Executive” Showcase may be video taped.  If a band is chosen to play this event, the band will allow A&R Unlimited to use this video for promotional purposes only, should the show be videoed.

LOAD IN: All bands must load in ONE hour prior to their start time. We encourage bands and their fans to support all other acts performing and to stay until the end of the show if possible.

BACKLINE: NO backline will be provided for performances unless otherwise specified. So please make sure to bring all of your equipment.

PA: There will be a PA system supplied by either the venue or A&R Unlimited.

PROMOTE THE SHOW: It is up to each individual band to properly promote their show. We expect that each band will take this event seriously and will make every effort to promote this event effectively.  Please be sure to promote your show to your fans as best you can to ensure maximum attendance on the night of your performance.

SET UP FOR INDEPENDENT SHOWS: Each band will be given a total of 15 minutes to set up and break down. Each band will be required to play a 40-minute set of all original music. Please be timely with breakdowns and setups because delays may cut into sets.  Please be courteous to A&R Unlimited’s staff and the other performing bands.

GUEST LIST: One person per band.

PRESS: Each New Music Showcase will be covered and discussed on The Indie Revolution Radio Show and podcast. A review of the show will be spoken about in the following week’s show.  The coverage of the evening’s events will include show performance, band attendance and musical abilities. This will be a very honest review.
